The College recognises the knowledge and skills of current and former Probationary Police Officers and staff members.
As a result they are permitted to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) towards one or more of the following qualifications relevant to rank, position held, service, training and experience achieved.
These qualifications are open to sworn and unsworn members.
How do I choose what qualification/s to apply for?
Some people know exactly what kind of qualification they want. For others however, things are not so simple.
Vocational qualifications have different levels. Your previous experience may qualify you for recognition at one level of the qualification you request but not at another.
When you submit your RPL application, the CLJA assessment team will assess your request against the evidence provided to establish which level is most relevant to your existing knowledge, skills, experience and training.
